I am glad that the Lord has allowed me to live another year. It is my desire to try to accomplish much for the glory of God this new year. It is my determination to try and learn more of the scriptures that I can. Boy, what a year it has been! With Covid-19, and retiring from the pastorate this last year and many, many other health and emotional challenges I still have a great desire to learn more of the scriptures. I hope and pray that you do too. I can look upon this New Year with great enthusiasm, and possibilities.
2 Timothy 3:14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
I CAN FACE THIS NEW YEAR WITH CONFIDENCE IN MY SAVIOUR.
Psalm 118:8 “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.”
- I can have confidence in my Saviour to satisfy.
Psalms 90:14 “O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. He satisfies my desires, doubts and determination.
- I can have confidence in my Saviour to supply.
Philippians 4:19 “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
Psalm 37:25 “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.”
Remember this in 2021. God is big enough to take care of the problems at my house, at the church house, at the school house and even at the White House. Let’s make this a year of much prayer, much study, much fellowship, and much more love one toward another. As the song says: “I got through all of last year, and I’m still here!” Thank you, Lord!
For His mercy and His grace.
